Ingredients: 2 servings

  • Round soft French bread  6
  • Butter from France  Isigny Ste Mère  60g

Pumpkin paste

  • Pumpkin 150g
  • Water 1 tbsp.
  • Cane suger 3 tbsp.
  • Cinnamon To taste

Sweet potato paste

  • Sweet potato 150g
  • Cane suger 3 tbsp.
  • Rum 1/2 tsp and to taste for more

Steps

  1. Cut into 2 the French bread. Slice the butter into 4 slices.
  2. Pumpkin paste: Peel and cut the pumpkin into bite-sized pieces, place in a heatproof bowl, add water, cover with fluffy plastic wrap and cook in a 600W microwave for 5 minutes.
  3. When hot, mash in the cracked sugar. Add cinnamon to taste and mix.    
  4. Sweet potato paste: Peel the sweet potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces and soak in water. Drain and place in a heatproof bowl, cover with fluffy plastic wrap and cook in a 600 W microwave for 5 minutes.    
  5. When hot, mash in the cane sugar. Add rum to taste and stir.    
  6. Place the pumpkin sweet bean paste and butter between two of the (1) pieces and the sweet potato sweet bean paste and butter between two of the (2) pieces.

Product Notes

Isigny Ste Mere PDO butter is rich in minerals thanks to the high quality feed of the milk-producing cows. The salty and almost crystalline texture is produced through the high volume of minerals that remain in the butter following a careful churning process. Naturall moreish and healthy!
